Our online course registrations are now closed. You may apply via School Engage to apply to Edmonton Catholic Schools but must visit us in-person on the following dates to apply to St. Joseph :
- August 22nd for new students to ECSD or St. Joseph and current St. Joseph Grade 12 students
- August 25th for new students to ECSD or St. Joseph and current St. Joseph Grade 10 students
- August 26th for new students to ECSD or St. Joseph and current St. Joseph Grade 11 students
- August 27th for all Continuing Students in Grades 13 and 14 - fourth and fifth year.

Application Process to Attend St. Joseph High School
St. Joseph High School welcomes applications for students from across the city. While we welcome your registration request through PowerSchool Intentions or School Engage, your request and subsequent application will be reviewed by administration. Your child's application to attend St. Joseph High School may or may not result in an acceptance to attend the school.

Step One
Within ECSD (Intentions to Attend St. Joseph Catholic Schools closed on March 14th, 2025)
If you are a student currently with Edmonton Catholic Schools, please declare your intention to come to St. Joseph High School. Once you have completed this step, return to this page and follow the steps listed below.
Please Note: This is an application process and your completion of the pre-registration does not mean successful acceptance at St. Joseph High School
The Pre-registration Enrollment process is only available until March 14th, 2025. Any further application will be from within School Engage in PowerSchool.
Outside ECSD
Students that are not currently registered with Edmonton Catholic Schools must first create an account in School Engage. This will provide you an opportunity to upload documents that are necessary for your registration in Edmonton Catholic Schools. Once you have completed this step, return to this page and complete the steps that follow. You will be asked to submit documents that are relevant to your application.
Important Information to Know
Once you have completed the above steps, please be aware of the following information:
- Students who are currently at St. Joseph High School will be completing their applications at the school. These are an in-person application that occurs with their TAs.
- Grade Nine Students who wish to apply will have an opportunity to register through their junior high school providing they are a feeder school to St. Joseph. Staff will go to the school to help register students. If you miss the opportunity to apply in person at your school, via PowerSchool or in person, please click on the the appropriate link to complete the process. Applications are open now.
- If you wish to register in person because your child missed the in-school application or you are a non-ECSD or non-catchment area student, our Application Day is Saturday, March 16th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the school.
- On this day, you can complete the application process but the decision on your acceptance will be made during the month of April.
- Students who are within Edmonton Catholic Schools will need to declare their pre-registration and be accepted at St. Joseph prior to identifying the courses they would like to register in.
- Students who are outside Edmonton Catholic Schools will need to complete their School Engage Registration and be accepted at St. Joseph prior to identifying the course they would like to register in.
- The documents you submit is part of your application to St. Joseph High School. Your documents will be reviewed and your application will either be accepted or declined.
- The school will contact applicants throughout the month of April.
- Applications submitted after the deadline will be processed in a timely manner.
